MTB Shoe Range
While working with the design consultancy DQBD, I helped develop a new range of cycling shoes for E-MTB touring, all-mountain, and enduro segments. The shoes needed to meet the specific functional requirements of each category while featuring a progressive aesthetic that stood out from competitors. I contributed to the complete development of each shoe.
Performance

All Mountain
Offering durability, comfort, and a classic casual look, the All-Mountain MTB shoe prioritises performance for demanding rides while remaining practical for everyday use around town.
Ride & Hike
Whether pedaling, pushing, or hiking, the Ride & Hike MTB shoe is breathable, well ventilated, and lightweight, ensuring comfort both on and off the bike.
The Performance shoe is designed for serious riders who push limits and take risks. Constructed from durable, fast-drying materials, it’s built to withstand tough conditions while keeping the rider comfortable. Reinforced areas, like the toe box, offer protection from impacts, while strategically placed, minimal venting helps keep water out without sacrificing breathability.
The outsole is optimised to give the best performance on flat pedals while also ensuring stability on uneven ground when off the bike. The special rubber compound provides optimal grip and the outsole pattern has been designed to effectively lock onto the pedal lugs.
The Ride & Hike shoe was designed to meet a broader set of needs. For MTB and e-bike riders that need a stable and durable shoe that is as capable when riding as when hiking and exploring. A lighter more breathable mesh and lightweight construction ensure maximum comfort for the whole day.
The dual zone outsole gives stability on the pedals while offering maximum grip while hiking or pushing the bike.
I assisted in creating all production ready data and helped during development to ensure that all specifications were correctly met. Materials, finishes and components were carefully selected to ensure the shoes performed at the highest standards.
